Job description

As an Engineer, you work at the core of our R&D department, fully focused on creating, improving and maintaining tooling, moulds, prototypes and production equipment. You work closely with our Design Engineers. You translate concepts into manufacturable technical solutions and actively contribute ideas about material choices, manufacturability and design optimisations.

In addition, you manage the workshop and ensure that all necessary tools, equipment and production aids are available at a high level.

You will collaborate frequently with colleagues in R&D, Sales and Production—both in the Netherlands and with our team in Romania—and you engage with suppliers as well as engineers from our customers. You work on multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy a high degree of independence.

Your responsibilities

Manufacturing tooling, prototypes, moulds and production equipment based on supplied drawings.
Operating the machine park (including CNC milling machines, lathes and wire-EDM/sinker-EDM machines).
Contributing ideas about material selection, manufacturability and design optimisation.
Supporting production handover and minor process improvements.
Sparring with design colleagues and independently taking on assignments from R&D or our factory in Romania.
Managing the workshop: planning, cleanliness, quality and safety.

Function requirements

You are a hands-on, independent technician who enjoys creating things. You work precisely, think pragmatically and feel at home in a workshop environment. You have experience with machining techniques and you’re not afraid to challenge design choices constructively.

Additionally, you:

Have an MBO+/HBO level of education (preferably in a technical field).
Have demonstrable experience with milling and turning, and preferably an interest in wire-EDM and sinker-EDM (willingness to learn is also Fine).
Can read technical drawings and translate them into accurate production.
Possess material knowledge and insight into production processes involving metal or plastics.
Are communicatively strong and able to independently conduct technical discussions.
Speak good English; Dutch is a plus, not a requirement.
Have experience with CAD (SolidWorks).
