As a Business Developer SaaS Municipalities for the German market, you are responsible for driving new business growth from first contact to closed deal. You identify opportunities, build strong prospect relationships with municipalities, and position Jewel Software as a strategic partner. Acting as the face of Jewel Software in Germany, you ensure prospects clearly understand the value and impact of our SaaS solutions. You’re given the freedom and trust to act as an entrepreneur, building and growing the business in Germany with clear ownership and end-to-end responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities within the German municipality market through a mix of self-initiated activities (cold calling, social selling, events, trade fairs) and inbound leads.
- Own the entire new business sales cycle: from initial outreach and needs analysis to deal closing and a smooth handover to Customer Success.
- Build and manage a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline through continuous prospecting, follow-up, and CRM-based forecasting.
- Lead consultative sales conversations, uncovering customer challenges and translating them into Jewel Software solutions.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, both online and on-site, and guide prospects through complex decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
- Actively track market developments, competitor activity, and customer needs to sharpen your sales approach and strategy.
You work closely with Marketing, Product Managers, Consultants, and Customer Success to optimise conversion and ensure a strong customer experience. In addition, you collaborate with sales colleagues in other regions to exchange insights and best practices.
